Returns & Refund Policy

Our Commitment At O'Mahony Craft Cooperage, every barrel, cask and piece is handcrafted to the highest standard at our Cooperage in Cork, Ireland. We stand behind the quality of our work.

Your Statutory Rights Under the EU Sale of Goods Directive and Irish Consumer Law, you are entitled to a remedy if a product is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose. These statutory rights are not affected by this policy.

Please note that all of our barrels and casks are individually handcrafted bespoke pieces. As a result, minor variations in grain pattern, colour, texture, and finish compared to product photographs and descriptions are an inherent characteristic of handcrafted coopered vessels and are to be expected. Such natural variations do not constitute grounds for a "not as described" claim and are not eligible for return or refund.

Faulty or Defective Products If your product arrives with a genuine manufacturing defect or fault, please contact us within 30 days of receipt. We will offer, at our discretion, either a repair or replacement of the item at no cost to you. We will cover the cost of return shipping in such cases.

Change of Mind We do not accept returns or offer refunds where you have simply changed your mind. As our products are handcrafted to order, we are unable to accept returns on this basis.

Damage Due to Improper Use or Care If a product is returned and inspection reveals the fault is attributable to improper use, neglect, or failure to follow our care instructions, we will assess the item and provide a repair quote. In such cases:

  • Repair is offered at the customer's expense
  • The customer is responsible for all shipping costs, both to and from our Cooperage
  • We will provide a quote before any repair work is carried out

How to Request a Return To initiate a return, please contact us at contact@omcc.ie before sending any item back. Items returned without prior authorisation will not be accepted.
